Dennis J. Kusturiss is an associate with the firm. He was born on August 5, 1950 in Camden, New Jersey. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania bar in 1978.
Mr. Kusturiss attended the University of Pittsburgh where he obtained his undergraduate degree (B.A.) in 1972. He obtained his law degree (J.D.) from the Delaware Law School in 1978.
Mr. Kusturiss is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations. He is a member of the Civil Litigation and Family Law sections of all three bar associations. He serves on the Civil Litigation Section Council and Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association. Mr. Kusturiss has been appointed to adjudicated cases as a Special Master in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County.
Mr. Kusturiss' practice focuses on Civil Litigation, Family Law, Commercial Law and Employment and Labor Law.
Mr. Kusturiss is admitted to practice before various courts including the United States Supreme Court, the United States Circuit Courts of Appeals for the 3rd and 4th Circuits, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and all intermediate Pennsylvania courts. He has also represented clients in other courts including the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Northern District of West Virginia, the Southern District of West Virginia, the Middle District of North Carolina, the Western District of North Carolina, the Northern District of Ohio, United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Middle District of Florida and District of New Jersey and in the Courts of Common Pleas of Cuyahoga and Portage Counties, Ohio.
Mr. Kusturiss also practices before various state administrative agencies in connection with labor and employment law issues, including the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, Pennsylvania Bureau of Workers' Compensation and Pennsylvania Unemployment Compensation Board of Review.
Mr. Kusturiss has defended discrimination, wrongful discharge and other employment claims in state and federal courts and administrative agencies and has counseled employers in connection with matters such as terminations, employment policies, wage and hour issues and enforcement of non-compete agreements.
